It would be immensely helpful if there was a way to link items in the game. Several other games including WoW and EQ has this and it's a big aid, especially when trading. The way it works is that you do something, usually a simple action like holding down ctrl while clicking on an item, and its name appears in your text line as if you'd typed it. When you send a message including this item link, either via a whisper, on the trade channel, to your guild or whatever, anyone can then click on that item's link and see the stats of the item. The part of the text that contains the item link would have the color of the item's quality (white/blue/purple/gold/green) and it can be included in any message. Example:

"WTS <Sundering Fellblade of Fortitude> 100k+10e, whisper me!" (looks like this forum doesn't support colored fonts but you get the idea)

Not only would it make trading easier, it might help prevent scams, and also get rid of the incredibly unspecific traders who spam "WTS HAMMER UPGRADE WHISPER ME!!". The colors could be optional for people who don't like their chat windows to be rainbows.
